Radio broadcasts have long been a trusted medium for disseminating information and promoting events, especially in local communities. In Ilorin East Local Government Area, Kwara State, radio stations play a pivotal role in creating awareness about cultural, social, and economic events. The accessibility and affordability of radio make it a preferred channel for reaching diverse audiences, including rural populations. Studies by Adeyemi and Okoro (2022) emphasize the importance of radio in engaging communities and fostering participation in local events. However, the effectiveness of radio broadcasts in promoting events in Ilorin East requires further investigation, particularly in the context of audience engagement and message delivery.
